Grinding time will determine the strength of the
coffee as well as flavor.
Place the top on the grinder and press down to grind coffee beans for 10 to 35 seconds.
For normal coffee strength 12 - 15 seconds.
For stronger coffee 20 - 35 seconds.
Stronger coffee (finer grinds) also increase bitterness.
For cone-shaped filters, use a finer grind and for flat-bottom filters, use a medium grind.
Expresso machines require a very fine grind (30 - 45 seconds).
When grinding is complete, unplug the grinder.Tip the grinder upside down and empty all of the ground coffee into the grinder top. Clean grinder by removing remaining coffee grounds with a dry paper towel or small brush.
 
 
This species (Arabica) produces superior quality coffee, which possess the greatest flavor and aromatic characteristics. They typically contain half the caffeine of the robusta beans. Arabica production represents 80% of the world's coffee trade, however, only 10% of this meets specialty coffee standards. These standards are used for Schoolhouse Gourmet Coffee.
